Finished!.... kind of...
So I finished my knitting in time for Christmas! One pair mittens, two pairs fingerless mittens, one scarf, one stocking cap, one creature (pattern from knitty.com). It is quite a batch of knitting to do in less than 2 weeks. Heck, it took me two months just to finish my bag. Which reminds me, I started working on my backgammon board and it should be done by the end of the week. I'm working on something for my boyfriend and that should be done in the next week too. I have a heel on the second sock that is also calling me. Another thing that I'm going to start working on is a corset! how exciting is that! It's the Laughing Moon Silverado pattern. I'm going to make it pink...hehe... it will have black triming and it will be done in time for halloween this coming up year. I'm going to make a chemise to go under it so it will be a full dress to us... but just underware to those of the 1890's... anyway, I'm excited. I just got all the hardware for it so i'm set. I just need the fashion fabric (the silk). Did you know that there are three layers of fabric to a corset, plus trimming, boning, boning channels, busks, grommets, etc. I've never made anything like this and am looking forward to the challenge. So you see what I mean, I'm finished, kind of.... there always seems to be more things to do with projects giving way to new ones, about the time I finish one i'm starting 2 or 3 more... it's good that way. well i've got to go to work soon. I will post some pictures of all this stuff soon.

Knitting Extravaganza... or however you spell that
So I've been working for the last week or so on gifts for my family and friends... I have my sister, mom, brother in law, and one friends gifts done.... I am half way or more than half way done with my boyfriends, my other friends, and my cousin's gifts.... I finished those fingerless mittens promised to a friend three months ago and I still haven't quite decided to make my dad..... fingerless mittens (does he really need those? I suppose I just want to know that he will wear them) or a hat, in which case my mom would have to send me the measurements of his head and he would know what I am making for him... crap. what should I do!? I'm sure I will get it all figured out in the end.

Craft Extraviganza and old navy
So just for the record the girls that work at old navy are really wierd, it's like they either hate themselves, hate you, or hate you because they hate themselves. I completely don't fit in there, but they are giving me a raise and seem to be hoping that I will boost their ONC count be a dozen or so a month... (ONC's are old navy card accounts). I worked for a few hours hours this afternoon, pretty uneventful. I think they were disappointed that I didn't get any ONC's in the three hours that I worked. Heck I only had like 6 people come in to try on clothes, I asked half of them and they already had cards... I think we are reaching a saturation point with those things... oh well. On another note it is day 3 of the craft extraviganza! I have only 3 and a half presents done, well one half done, but that's alright... I will get done. I've got like another week and a half to finish. I couldn't get much done this weekend though, I had to work Sunday, and spent most of Thursday and Friday recovering from finals, but Saturday I got one mitten finished, the first one I have ever made, so it took a long time... hopefully the second one will go faster. Well, I better start knitting again.

Sock!!!
Backgammon board
Fingerless mittens and scarf
Backgammon bag
Creature
This is a pattern I got off knitty.com, it's called a creature. I still need to add the hair, but it's pretty much done. It was fun, there were a lot of stitches that I didn't know before, but it wasn't too complicated so I could manage it okay. I can't wait to do more complicated things like those figure pupets in Weekend Knitting (which has some of the coolest patterns ever, just I swear, they are done in like 5 weekends not just one!).

finished!
well I figured it out and I will just post these pictures for now... but I will take better ones and post those instead. My camera is of sub par quality (i'm really not sure why, it used to take great pictures), and my friend jill is going to take some pictures of my work with her fancy ass new camera. It is 2am and I have been crocheting almost non stop since 1pm... I'm going to bed. oh and sorry about the wierd layout of the images on this post... they are all really dark... i will fix it later. goodnight!

I am so stuck
well, I finally started my final drawing project and I am really stuck. I'm really just not sure where to go from here. This picture totally sucks and is not even the whole project, but you will get the idea... i hope. Anyway, I was thinking about cutting it up and edging it with my sewing mechine... and then connecting the pieces together so it kind of ends with just one bird in a 3x3 inch square. Or I was thinking about going in with water color and do a wash of color (the paper is already tinted yellowish tan) or going in with more pen and inch.... or maybe I could go in with water color and cut it up and re-connect it... hmm... maybe that is what i will do. Any suggestions would be great.

Weekend Knitting Picture
Tea Cozy Hat
Okay, so this is one of those times where I really should have read the whole pattern. I hadn't crocheted in a long time and I thought a tea cozy would be a great first time in a long time project. Well, when I finally finished it looked a lot like a hat, so I tried it on and it fit perfect. I love it and wear it all the time! My tea may not stay warm, but my head sure does!
mrbeuler
this is my little guy. My constant companion, or at least when he's not sleeping in the drawer. He's a lot fatter now, I had just got him when I took this picture and he was too thin. I adopted him and I think he was a bit neglected. He's spoiled rotten now though.
me
well this is me, i want this as my profile picture, but i'm still figuring out how to do that... i'm new to this, give me some time
blah blah blah
well, I figured it was about time I get a blog so everyone can see what fun stuff i do on a regular basis, hehe, not really. I just want somewhere where I can post pics of my artwork and craft stuff so my friends can see what I'm working on and why I can't hang out with them... busy busy busy in the words of Bokoman
